Given my personal experience with using and, from time to time, selling AVON products, I have learned at least two (2) things about AVON Customers:
1. Many (if not most) have been using the same product(s) for many years, know precisely which product(s) they need to have on hand (and will oftentimes order these "in bulk" at intermittent times during the year), which ones they'll never buy regardless of price or other factors, and which they ones they could probably live without
2. They are fiercely loyal to the AVON products they love and, in most instances, would prefer to "go without" their favorite Fragrance, Make-up item or Skin Care product for a short time than substitute an alternate or stand-in product they could readily purchase at a local super-store, supermarket, or drug store.
